Welcome
The Colorado Association of Funders (CAF) is a nonprofit regional membership organization for grantmakers throughout the state. CAF's mission is to bring people, information and resources together to promote effective and responsible philanthropy in Colorado.
CAF is comprised of funders of many sizes and types. As a member of CAF, funders have the ability to network with each other and learn about current issues within the community at large and the nonprofit industry. CAF members reflect the broad diversity of the Colorado grantmaking community.
CAF is committed to the following values: education and skill development; idea sharing and networking; resources for grantmakers; collaboration among grantmakers.
CAF Affinity Group Meetings
- The Corporate Funders Network will meet Monday, May 12, 2008 from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. May's meeting will be hosted by the Janus Foundation. Matthew Nelson, Managing Director of Corporate Services for the Council on Foundation will present, Getting the Message Through. RSVPs are requested by Wednesday, May 7, 2008.
- The Small Foundation Network will meet on Tuesday, May 28, 2008 from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. at Rose Community Foundation. The program will focus on strategic planning.
Colorado Grantmakers Increase Giving
The Colorado Giving Study, commissioned by the Colorado Association of Funders (CAF), shows that Colorado-based private foundations, community foundations, corporate foundations and federated funds, such as United Way, contributed more than $412 million to charitable causes throughout the state in 2006. This is a 51 percent increase in funding compared to the last giving study which measured funding in 2004 and reported contributions of $272 million.
