Membership Criteria

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Colorado Association of Funders. Private, community, operating and supporting foundations, corporate grantmakers, federated funds and governmental grantmaking agencies are eligible for membership. Such organizations must have a verifiable giving program within the State.

Membership criteria:

Private, community, operating and supporting foundations, corporate grantmakers, federated funds and governmental grantmaking agencies are eligible for membership. Such organizations shall have a verifiable giving program within the State.
The applicant organization must carry out a broad mission of philanthropy with greater than 50% of their organization's grant allocations awarded to unrelated organizations or greater than 50% to programs that support the greater nonprofit community.
The applicant organization must have awarded grants for a minimum of one year immediately prior to submitting an application for membership OR have filed a 1023 (application for nonprofit designation.)
Applicant organizations who raise funds as well as make grants must agree not to use the Association's programs, activities or membership lists to solicit members for funding.
