Colorado National Philanthropy Day - Call for
Nominations
Nominations are currently being accepted until Friday,
July 10 for those individuals, organizations, foundations,
businesses, and corporations who have demonstrated exceptional and
impactful philanthropic and volunteer contributions in Colorado.
Submit a
nomination.
New Resource Database Available to CAF Members
CAF members can now search the collective
KnowledgeBase, a compilation of the
best resources from among 32 regional associations and 4,000 grantmaking
members across the country.
Annual Salary Survey Launched
The Council on Foundations (COF) has launched its annual salary survey.
Information gathered from the survey will be used to produce the 2009
Grantmakers Salary and Benefits Report. Be sure to respond to the
survey by Friday, July 10.
CAF Philanthropy Project Completes Phase
I
The Philanthropy Project, launched in January, has concluded phase I. CAF members can
log in to view the significant accomplishments achieved over the
past six months.

Philanthropic Support for Women and Girls is
Increasing
Foundation giving specifically meant to benefit women and girls has
surpassed the rate of overall foundation giving in recent years
according to a
new report from the Foundation Center
and the Women's Funding Network.
Community Foundation Giving Increased 6.7 Percent in 2008
Even in the face of a worsening economy, the nation's 717 community
foundations raised their giving by an estimated 6.7 percent in 2008,
according to a new
report.
